Loyalty Schemes - What's New & What's for You!?

In today's persistent discount culture, customer's loyalty is growing even more valuable to retailers. Great news for us savvy shopaholics - as this has resulted in loyalty scheme rewards being better than ever before!
Last month saw global Etailer, ASOS, launch their first ever loyalty app; ASOS A-list and if you are an ASOS girl or guy you absolutely need it in your life! Check out the 1 min video below on how to earn rewards!;
So here are the facts -

  • 5 points for every £1 spent
  • 500 points earns you a £5 voucher (valid for 6 months)
  • Earning points take you to levels.
  • Levels unlock new exciting rewards & benefits
  • Level 1 - (400 points): Two double-points days, 15% off on your birthday, one free next day delivery, plus additional competitions & offers.
  • Level 2 - (1000 points): All of the benefits from level 1, plus; two further double-points days, another free next day delivery, & advance warning of upcoming sales!
  • Level 3 - (3,000 points): Four triple-points days, three free next day deliveries, 20% off on your birthday & 24 hour early access to Sales - say goodbye to 'out of stock' disappointment on sale days girls!

Okay so the next retailer is the big 'quality' player on the high street, of course it's; Marks & Spencer. The SPARKS card was launched last October and it's quickly becoming as popular as having a Tesco Clubcard! You earn points for EVERYTHING you buy in store or online and with such a vast selection of products from food to underwear, earning points can be pretty easy!

So why do you need one;
  • You'll earn 10 Sparks (points) every time you shop - Regardless of what you spend!
  • 10 Sparks earned for every £1 spent
  • If you write a review on the M&S website on a product you have purchased you'll get 25 Sparks!
  • 50 Sparks if you donate to the 'Shwopping scheme' - Lets be honest we all have clothes we don't wear any longer and are just taking up precious space!
  • So what do all these Sparks get you!? Well like ASOS, it works on a level system. With 3,000 Sparks, members get access to new season previews, while 5,000 Sparks give customers early access to Sales!
  • By the time you reach 14,000 Sparks you'll get invitations to events such as catwalk shows and if you reach 17,000 you will be given access to high-end events such as personalised styling sessions! - Bare in mind David Gandy models the underwear girls!!
  • So not only all of the above, but when you sign up to Sparks you get to choose a charity that M&S will donate to as you earn Sparks.

Finally from the moment you register your card online, you will receive 20% off offers for different store categories every couple of weeks, You receive an email when it's time to choose new offers and there's often additional perks depending on the time of year! See above the Easter email. You usually get to choose 2 out of a choice of 5 offers. Typically these are things like 20% off; bedding, count on us meals, pastries, 'food to go' range, wine or flowers to name but a few.
So there you have it, all you need to do is pick up a card in any store and register it online!

So, the final loyalty scheme that's worth thinking about is the Harvey Nichols Rewards App

This fab app boasts so many exciting benefits, and even if you don't usually shop in Harvey Nics you'll want to with this app! See below the beautiful imagery guide to the app!

Here's how the levels above work;

  • Silver is FREE
  • Gold is unlocked when you hit 250 points!
  • Platinum when you reach 5,000 points!
  • And Black will give you 16 amazing benefits when you earn 10,000 points (Could be a few years for me on that one!)

So that's my 3 favourites! Asos A-list, M&S Sparks and Harvey Nichols Rewards app!I hope you have all been encouraged to join one of them if not them all and start reaping the rewards that the retaillers have to offer their customers in return for your loyalty!

Happy Shopping!
